Times Square is an instantly recognisable landmark in New York even for people who haven’t been there, with all the advertising billboards it is featured in many movies and TV shows.
Kids will generally love the hustle and bustle is something always going on night and day, when our family was there recently we saw an amazing rap dancing group doing tricks which would in our opinion be worthy of the Olympics.
Madame Tussaud’s wax museum is a popular stop for families which allows your kids to get up close and personal with some of their favorite stars including a wax Brad Pitt, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. (Although it could have been the real Justin Bieber). Kids are encouraged to pose for photos with the stars.
Times Square is also home to the worlds biggest Toys R Us store which includes the latest toys, Barbies House, life size T-Rex and its own Ferris wheel. There is also a very large Disney Store that has New York themes Disney souvenirs.
My kids also loved M&M World which is a 3 story shop filled with all sorts of M&M memorabilia, 22 different colors of M&M’s and a special children’s area. There is also a green statue of Liberty made of M&M’s.

Times Square is also located in the middled of the Broadway district home to many child and family friendly theatre productions. My 6 year old loved the Lion King, but there are also many other great shows including Mary Poppins.
Times Square runs from 42nd to 48th Streets New York along Broadway & 7th Avenues
